on the nineteenth of march 2020, when the lockdown was at its peak and it was common for the buses to be empty, the writer went into town

on the bus to go back home the bus was empty 

at the next stop an elderly, a portly man got on the bus and sat on the other side of the bus and to the back of me

before the bus began moving the portly man came and sat in the empty seat behind me

within in a few seconds, he began coughing

i could feel the pressure of his breath on the back of my neck as he was coughing

i decided to move

at the next stop, a woman got on the bus and sat in the seat behind the man

no sooner had the bus began moving when the man (can describe him accurately) turned around and coughed into the woman's face

the woman's face showed disgust but she never said anything

when seated at the back of the bus and for the rest of the journey, the portly man would turn and look at me

he was shaking his head every ten or fifteen seconds

you've seen the shake of the head i mean

when someone realises they have done something they shouldn't have done

on the morning of the 31st, the symptoms of the coronavirus manifested themselves

there are probably dozens, if not hundreds, of people doing the same thing

people will kill people for money or because they have a natural disposition to harm and kill people
