the most common use of the word space appears to be when referrng to the amount of room there is "let the children go and play outside where there is more space for them to run around" and "the house is too small we need somewhere with more space" perhaps the second most common use is when we use the word to describe anywhere beyond the atmosphere of the earth... "another rocket was sent into space yesterday" and "space, the final frontier" in the microscopic world the word space is used to convey the distance between one quon (particle) and another... "there are a thousand nanometres between the position of the electron and the centre of the atom it belongs to" this entry is attempting to present an explanation in a non scientific way of what it is that actually exists between one quon and the next nearest quon to it it may be easiest to explain what space is by starting with the simplest structure that we can picture in our minds-eye
this article is going to start with two 2 dimensional triangles ... |
10th august 2012 a feature of space is that it cannot change in a way that allows it to take on a characteristic that could result in a temperature less than -273 degrees
( perhaps the reason for that is that it would need to take on a non linear configuration ) let's see what happens when we assign space as being the the absolute of volume but not of extent NOTES if the notion that space can bend is correct then it seems likely that there will be other features of change that space will have an immediate consideration has to do with the concept of the straight line being able to bend which in turn produces inponderables with the concept of a potentially an infinite straight line in the case of visual descriptions that depict an object, e.g. a star bending space, it is thought that the non linear motion of objects in the vicinity of "heavy" substances is due to the attraction of mass and that the space-bending characteristc is an interpretation a euclidean geometric visualization of what mass is has now got to be proffered perhaps the absolute of zero is the basis for an increasingly sophisticated progression of states or structures of being in terms of time, position, shape, motion...
